that's really sharp, man. i'm glad the dof isn't so shallow that there isn't enough recognizable features on the guy in the back (like if it were an f2 or something).

this would make a killer print.

for fun, next time you get the opportunity, see if you can get a long motion blur on the cueball as it's coming towards the 8ball. just make sure the guy in the back, once he hits the ball softly, holds very still. :P

I really like your composition - the angle and focus - a very effective and clever shot!!!

This is a great exercice of DOF and focusing. As sharp as it could be.
The well contrasted black and white adds something to the image too.
Nice work.

i like the depth of field alot, and the black and white works perfectly here. I thought about doing a shot like this a while ago, this is motivating me to get out there and actually shoot it

 One of the best pool shots I've seen. First of all, I think the composition is top rate. My attention, of course, goes straight to the 8ball (which is so nicely focused), but then my eyes wander to the blurred pocket in the foreground and then the person in the background -- a nice, oblique triangular structure. As mentioned by others, I especially like the depth of field. Again, another shot of yours that I find hard to criticize. I do think the lights in the background are a little distracting, but nothing you could've done about that.
